The project will be in two phases, with the first phase (south area) re-opening Spring 2018. This means the entire Forest Preserve (including the beach) will be closed this summer. The northern half of the Forest Preserve will be closed until Summer 2019.
Entire Forest Preserve will close May 30, 2017 (including beach access).
South area including beach access will re-open Summer 2018
North area will re-open Summer 2019.
The military cemetery will remain open during construction activities.
The parade ground will remain open - no construction planned for the parade grounds.
