The First Annual Fort Sheridan Community Day was way back in 2001, shortly after The Fort development was completed. Fast forward and here we are in 2016 and Community Day is bigger and better than ever before.
The annual event brought together Fort residents in regular tradition in the meadow. However, the big changes this year was tapping The Mean Weiner to cater the food, an ice cream truck, a live band playing from the Rooney's deck, and the Highland Park Fire Department bringing a truck to show off to the kids.
Alison Wertheimer organized this year's Fort Sheridan Community Day and said, "It's a great way for all the residents of the Fort to come together, have fun, and appreciate this amazing community and neighborhood that we're fortunate to call home."
Fort Sheridan is a great place to live, and it's great to see the entire community out and celebrating as another summer winds down.
